    Impressive Coverage !

    Cream Concealer in a Bottle: TRUE full coverage is BACK.

I am a Dior Forever Skin Correct concealer die-hard...but after the reformulation last year, it just hasn't given me adequate coverage. Bare Minerals gifted me shade 500 Deep Neutral of their barePRO concealer to test and review on my dark skin, and boy do I love it. The formulation is thick enough to not only conceal my dark circles with one application, it also fills in the hollows of my eye-bags in the same way that the Tarte Shape Tape original concealer does. It lasts *longer* than Shape Tape on my skin, which is incredible considering that I live in a very humid climate with high temperatures. After application it dries down to a natural matte/fully matte finish depending on how you blend it out. I wouldn't use a wet or dry beauty blender to blend. It soaks up too much product, and it's not the right method for this formulation at all. I blend it out with my fingers or a flat concealer blush and it's perfect. The barePRO concealer is like a cream concealer in a bottle. I am not a fan of building my concealer up with twenty applications before I leave the house (cough, cough, DIOR) so this is a total win for me. I skip foundation in my everyday routine and found that I used so much less of this product than I would've used with any other concealer I've owned. The hint of orange in this neutral shade is jussst enough for color correcting the under-eye or upper 'stache on black/dark skin. I didn't…

    Creamy concealer

    (This review was collected as part of a promotion). At first I wasn't sure about this concealer but it has grown on me. It is a pretty creamy consistency so to get more coverage you have to let it sit for a few seconds before blending it in. It is nice long wearing.

    I would buy this again and again

    Good concealer, difficult to wear alone

    (This review was collected as part of a promotion). I really enjoyed the "true" color match of this concealer! I found that it did not change color or oxidize which is a huge plus. I did find the formula to be thick and harder to blend, this would make it difficult to wear alone. Definitely a product to save for a medium to full coverage look.

What is longwear concealer? 

Longwear concealer is formulated to last longer than traditional concealer formulas. Our longwear mineral concealer is made with good-for-the-skin ingredients that not only cover blemishes, brighten dark areas, and even skin tone–it naturally improves the look of your skin over time. 

Why use concealer instead of foundation? 

If you want to wear just concealer instead of foundation and concealer, you can! Using a full coverage concealer, like our BarePro mineral concealer, provides all the coverage you need with less product. Build it up or apply less depending on the type of coverage you want and let your skin shine without foundation.

Do you put concealer on before or after foundation? 

There is no right or wrong way to apply concealer, so choosing to do it before or after foundation is entirely up to you. However, we find applying creamy products before powder products results in the most even look. So, if you’re someone with oily skin, try applying a creamy concealer before setting everything with a powder foundation.

How long do you have to wait between concealer and foundation? 

You shouldn’t have to wait at all if you blend your products in correctly. Try using your fingertips to press the concealer pigment into place. The warmth of your fingers help blend the concealer for the most natural finish. From there, immediately apply foundation and we think you’ll love the final result.

Should concealer be lighter or darker than your shade? 

If you’re using concealer to brighten dark under-eye circles or illuminate the high points of your face, you’ll want a concealer that’s just one shade lighter than your foundation. If you’re using concealer to hide blemishes or reduce redness, we suggest choosing a shade that matches your skin tone and foundation.
