Shop the Best Mineral Concealer

When it comes to concealers, we all want something that works. Whether it’s dark spots, blemishes, or other imperfections–we need something that lasts all day and evens our skin tone. That’s where our mineral makeup concealer comes in. Formulated with white water lily extract (known to soothe and hydrate skin) and mineral coated pearls (designed to diffuse dark circles), this mineral concealer is the best clean under eye concealer out there.

How to Use Colour Correcting Concealer

An under eye colour corrector is a type of concealer containing shades of yellow or red that cancel out the bluish-green tint of dark circles. Some people find color-correcting concealer works great for them, however a lot of people can get the same effect using a full-coverage brightening concealer. And speaking of full coverage…

Go Glam with Full Coverage Concealer

Full coverage concealer is great for a number of applications: You can use it for all-day events, to cover dark circles, wear in place of foundation, or to create a high-glam look. Our loose powder concealer is a great concealer with SPF, however it’s lightweight and better for no-makeup makeup days. Our liquid concealer, on the other hand, glides on crease-free and is buildable enough for full coverage. With so many shades to choose from, we know we have your perfect match.

Concealer FAQs

How to Apply Concealer?

After cleansing, moisturizing and applying foundation, your skin will be ready for concealer. Using a concealer brush, sponge or clean fingertips, apply concealer to areas needing extra coverage or brightening. Dab the concealer onto the targeted area with a brush or damp sponge. Gently blend by tapping until it seamlessly blends with your foundation. Set with a light dusting of translucent powder to prevent creasing.

Where do you put Concealer?

Concealer is commonly applied to areas with blemishes, redness, dark circles, or other imperfections. It can also be used to highlight specific features like under your eyes, bridge of the nose or the cupid's bow.

Do you put Concealer on before or after Foundation?

Concealer is typically applied after foundation. This order ensures that you use less product since your foundation already provides some coverage. Applying concealer after foundation also helps you achieve a more natural and seamless finish.

Is Concealer supposed to be lighter than foundation?

Concealer can be slightly lighter than your foundation, especially for under-eye areas to brighten and highlight. However, when concealing blemishes or spots, it's best to match the concealer shade to your foundation for a seamless blend.

How do you conceal under eye bags?

To conceal under-eye bags, choose a creamy concealer that's one to two shades lighter than your skin tone. Typically, one may colour correct, using a peach or salmon-toned concealer to counteract darkness. For liquid concealer, use the applicator to dot concealer in the areas of concern. Keep in mind, a little bit goes a long way. Gently blend with a concealer brush to create a natural transition. Press with the warmth of your fingertips to finish. For powder concealer, swirl a small amount of concealer in the cap until it disappears into the brush. Tap away any excess and buff onto your skin in circular motions. Avoid dragging the skin to prevent further irritation.

How to choose Concealer shade?

Selecting the right concealer shade depends on where you want to apply your concealer, what you are trying to get out of the concealer, and eventually matching it to your skin tone and undertone. Choose a shade that's one to two shades lighter than your foundation for under-eye concealing. For blemishes or spots, match the concealer to your foundation.

How to Match Concealer?

To shade match concealer in person, swatch a few options on your jawline and choose the one that blends seamlessly with your skin tone. For under-eye concealing, choose a shade that's slightly lighter than your skin tone. If you are trying to shade match online, use bareMinerals' Shade Finder which can be located on all concealer product pages.

Can You Use Liquid Concealer with Mineral Powder Foundation?

Yes, you can use liquid concealer with mineral powder foundation. Apply the liquid concealer first, blend it well, and then apply your mineral powder foundation like Original Loose Powder Foundation. Just ensure the liquid concealer is well-set before applying the powder to prevent any smudging or uneven texture.
